This means less bezel, more screen and can only be good news as it means more screen estate for game’s and videos. The navigation buttons on the Note 5 are placed on the screen to reduce the b ezels giving the smartphone a pleasing to the eye look. Colour representation and screen outdoor visibility on the note 5 are good.
The note 5 comes with a plastic body design with curved edges, a smooth and shiny back panel that looks like glass but really just plastic. The 12mp rear camera placed at the top left corner, together with the flashlight. At the back is a fingerprint scanner positioned on the center with the Infinix logo beneath it. There is also an inscription of Android One on the bottom. The speaker grills, earphone, microphone and the USB ports are located on the bottom of the phone while the volume control and power buttons flank the sides. The phone is said to last 3 days of usage but as you know too well, that depends on the kind of usage and type of user. Still, it should get you at the least, a full day’s usage thanks to the Android one feature which maximizes battery consumption
The 12mp camera on the back of the phone does quite a decent job. Images are clear in the day and above normal at night thanks to the LED flash but the 16mp selfie camera steals the show.Image are good without looking washed out and the colours are crisp.
SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE
Infinix note 5 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and is the second Infinix phone to ship with the Android one iteration.Android One phones have the latest AI powered innovations and security protections. They run the unmodified Android operating system as intended by Google. Consequently, there are no bloatware and no custom skin by the manufacturer on the phone. Most apps have to be downloaded from Google Playstore because only few essentials are preinstalled. The good news is that Android one phones are guaranteed to get a couple of updates as soon as Google ships them so you won’t need to wait to upgrade.
On the inside is 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage space, the Pro version carries a bigger RAM and ROM capacities of 4GB RAM and 64GBROM. The best part is that they will all have an option to expand the storage with microSD card. Infinix Note 5 is powered by an Octa-core 2.0 GHz with Helio P23 chipset and Mali G71 MP2 on board. This is a significant upgrade from the older variant (Infinix Note 4 Pro ) that came with Mediatek chipset and Octa-core 1.3 GHz processor.
